I wrote weekly CRM copy (primarily email and text) for a quickly-growing delivery service for prepared meals.

Anheuser-Busch (New York, NY) January 2021 - August 2023: Senior Copywriter (Natural Light, Busch Beer, misc other portfolio brands)

I’ve taken on a leadership role, where I’ve steered the ship on projects for both Natural Light and Busch Beer, while partnering with strategy to guide our other writers and designers for America’s cheapest beers.

Anheuser-Busch (New York, NY) December 2018 - December 2020: Copywriter (Busch Beer)

As one of the first creatives at AB’s in-house agency, Draftline, I crafted the voice of Busch Beer (aka pretending to be Midwestern) and created the story for its biggest and most successful campaign to date for Busch Light Apple.

Wunderman (New York, NY) June 2016 - September 2018. Copywriter (United Airlines, Marriott, W Hotels, US Tennis Association, John Hancock, Mutual of Omaha, Flonase, Zoetis Petcare)

I took on United Airlines’ social media writing duties and supported their Olympics campaign. I also wrote video scripts for Marriott/W Hotels and almost got them to create a Tall Guy Cam at one of their concerts, so short people can still see the performance when blocked by a tall guy. Oh, and I even wrote a decent amount of healthcare stuff.

I acted as “Cuppy” the Dunkin’ mascot in 30 videos of my own scripts that I wrote. Also, I lived in Maine and got cold as shit.

Mullen (Boston, MA) June 2014 - September 2014. Copywriting Intern. (JetBlue, US Cellular, MassMutual)

Let my puns fly high while writing for JetBlue and developed a love/hate relationship with the Boston accent.  

The Martin Agency (Richmond, VA) September 2013 - December 2013. Copywriting Intern (GEICO, Virginia is for Lovers, Opportunity International)

I wrote radio scripts for GEICO and video scripts for the Virginia Tourism Bureau about my home state’s love for being, well, lovers.

Student Newspaper Sports Section (Radford University and VCU) Sports Editor and Sports Writer

I was the Sports Editor and Sports Writer for The Tartan and The Commonwealth Times as a college journalism major (before switching to advertising).

Richmond Times Dispatch (Radford and Richmond, VA) Sports Section Contributor

Through a high school mentorship, I shadowed Sports Writers at the Richmond Times-Dispatch and even contributed a few columns.
